NOTARIZE – To certify or authenticate a document, such as a deed, contract or affidavit.

NOTARY PUBLIC – A public officer or other person authorized to certify or authenticate documents.  Also called a NOTARY.

NOTE – A document or instrument used to create a loan and provide evidence of a loan, certifying the terms of the obligation, the amount of the debt and the interest to be charged.  Also called a PROMISSORY NOTE.
